Nurturing the seeds of potential
We strengthen students’ access to education & opportunities to reach their full potential.
As one of the few large-scale, long-term scholarship programs, SEEDS provides educational opportunities for talented disadvantaged students in Central Vietnam to equip them with essential life skills, career exploration, and different job opportunities. SEEDS aims to create a qualified labor force for local communities and for Vietnam in the near future.

Resilience
"I was once an average student because I didn't have time to focus on my studies, and I thought of dropping out of school to help my parents farm. Fortunately, with the support and encouragement from SEEDS, I passed the high school entrance exam and for three years in a row, I was the top student in my class. I also received many awards in science and technology. My hard work and determination paid off when I got accepted into my dream medical school."
Nhu, SEEDS scholarship recipient
Gratitude
"For me, SEEDS is not just a scholarship, it is LOVE and I want to give back to people who face difficulties in their lives. I helped many SEEDS students successfully apply for good internships by giving them tips, reviewing their CV, and doing mock interviews with them. I also helped students in my high school write excellent essays to get direct admissions to universities."
Linh, SEEDS scholarship recipient
Courage
"My father died of lung cancer when I was in the 8th grade. My mother suddenly became the main supporter of the family and my 21-year-old brother had to drop out of university. SEEDS scholarships help cover my tuition fees, which allow my mother to save money and pay off our debt. Next year, I will be a student at Fulbright University, Class of 2025. Without the support and valuable advice from SEEDS, I could not accomplish these achievements. All I can say now is 'THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR EVERYTHING.'"
Hieu Nhan, SEEDS scholarship recipient
Grace
"Throughout the years, PALS has accompanied SPA to support students pursue their youthful dreams. It must be affirmed that SEEDS program brings essential benefits to thousands of poor and excellent students and it is such a great humanitarian program. I hope that all students will continue to study, practice English every day to develop and integrate with the 4.0 technology."
Hong Van, Study Promotion Association (SPA) Chairwoman
Grit
For almost 20 years, Gil Kemp, Eric Hemel, and his wife Barbara Morgan have supported thousands of disadvantaged students in rural areas of Central Vietnam. Every year, they would travel to Vietnam to go on long field trips and meet the students. They are long-term donors, who have supported the program tremendously with new initiatives and ideas for fundraising.
