Prevent forced labor & reduce supply chain risks
We empower the factory workforce to protect them from forced labor.
FACT® provides specialized trainings for Vietnamese factory workers and managers to raise their awareness about forced labor and human trafficking. Global brands can increase their compliance with international and national modern slavery laws and factories are able to obtain FACT® certification.

Resilience
One line manager during a FACT Training shared a story about a relative that ended up in a human trafficking situation. His brother-in-law’s family were poor and lived very difficult lives. One day, the family was approached by a young man offering a job with a high salary for their 16-year-old daughter. As they saw the job would provide an opportunity to better their lives, they agreed to let their daughter go with him. When she got into the car, she met several others who were also promised the same thing. They called their families as they felt unsafe and were then rescued by police.

Gratitude
Factory management and workers alike appreciate how FACT training puts them at the center of the learning experience through activities such as storytelling. The fun and engaging curriculum is tailored to be highly relatable to their lives and makes them feel engaged. They tend to enter the training with relatively low levels of knowledge on modern slavery and leave with expotentially higher understanding on how they can actively protect themselves and their communities. T, a manager from Regina Miracle Vietnam, personally supported a four day training of 3700 employees and was impressed that so many workers were raising their hands to actively participate. She highlighted how important the training was and was grateful that their company was selected by their brand to receive FACT training.

Courage
Workers, especially those migrating, are vulnerable to exploitation due to lack of knowledge. By courageously volunteering to share their personal experiences during FACT training, workers help each other better understand how modern slavery can directly affect each one of them, and how important it is for them to learn how they can protect themselves. One worker shared:
“I myself was once invited by a relative to work in Malaysia to be a server at a restaurant for a very high salary. But when I arrived at the airport, I was very worried that I’d be very far from home. So I decided to stay home as I did not have clear information about my relatives in Malaysia and I was afraid that if I went, I would somehow not be able to return.”
