Cook2Give Challenge
After months of lockdown, Vietnam is re-opening. Will business come back to Vietnam? Will it still be the top destination for manufacturing in the region? Are companies operating in Vietnam still committed to building ethical and transparent supply chains? Is investing in women workers’ wellbeing still an effective and efficient strategy in a pandemic-stricken global economy? Stakeholders from retail, international NGOs and local organizations will tackle these questions and share their experience. Vietnamese-English simultaneous interpretation will be available.

Preventing forced labor in supply chains post-Covid
The panel will discuss the impact of Covid-19 on heightened human trafficking & forced labor risks faced by factory and migrant workers, using Vietnam’s recent Covid-19 struggle as a case study. The panel will conclude with actionable steps that can be taken by counter-trafficking practitioners to prevent forced labor during the Covid-19 era.
Preventing Forced Labor and Unsafe Migration through Mobile Applications
Migrant workers worldwide searching for better opportunities migrate far away from home - whether within their country of origin or abroad - to seek employment. As anti-trafficking practitioners, how can we best support migrants and protect them from trafficking and forced labor risks? This session aims to share best practices for safe migration and elevating workers’ well-being and growth. Interactive elements will be incorporated in this session to engage participants and create a space for shared learning.

RVP at San Jose Silicon Valley Rotary Club
The Rotary Vietnam Project, represented by RVP Interact Co-Chair Ms. Huong Le, will present the program at the Rotary Club of San Jose Silicon Valley. Come and bring a friend to learn how RVP prevents at-risk girls in Vietnam from being victims of trafficking by funding scholarships to keep them in school. The project supports Pacific Links Foundation scholarship recipients.
Camp Connect
Summer Camp brings together scholarship recipients from the remote and impoverished areas of the Mekong Delta bordering Cambodia to increase self-awareness, develop life skills, explore different career paths, make new friends, and experience personal growth to safeguard themselves from the dangers of human trafficking. We are looking for in-kind donations and volunteers (workshop presenters and camp counselors).
