Stories of Resilience
Before being trafficked, Dua envisioned future where she would own a beauty salon. After years of being in China that dream seemed out of reach. For 13 years, Dua never stopped yearning for home. Then, one day, Dua found a way back Vietnam. With Pacific Links Foundation’s support, Dua enrolled in vocational training, taking facial classes that reignited her passion. Three months later, she secured a job at a spa in Lao Cai, her hands shaping beauty and her own destiny. Read more stories from women who found safety and rebuilt their lives with dignity.
Vietnam is a major source country in the region. Misinformation and deceptive social media recruitment make it easier than ever to be trafficked. Poverty, marginalization increase risks, creating a perfect trap for women and girls. Escape is just the beginning. Some survivors return home unrecognized as trafficking victims — limiting access to legal protection, medical care, and the reintegration support they desperately need.
